CL Gardeners started
Found an interesting confluence of LISP hackers who have decided to do some 'gardening' (small scale) on many LISP packages out there.

The details can be found at http://www.lispniks.com/cl-gardeners/

There seems to be a fair amount of people coming out of the woodwork at the moment, but there is stuff already happening, like SLIME for Vim. Will check the website as content increases.

Thanks Bill !

LISP Blogs
Very distracted today....

Host Express LISP Blog

Learn LISP

Planet Lisp

...There are some other AutoCad entries and a few other people talking about language comparisons, but that's it.

If I could just learn LISP enough to be quite productive and there was enough LISP popularity, I'd be set !

Embedded Common Lisp
I've been doing some C++ work involving imaging and at the same time have become interested in LISP and seen some of it's power.

I've also had some problems understanding how Livejournal entries work, so the entry about my experiences with ECL has gone to my personal account, rather than SydneyLISP. To view my thoughts on SydneyLISP, check out http://www.livejournal.com/users/kreelman/2005/11/23/

When doing a google search on "LISP blogs Sydney", at the 4th position you get http://bc.tech.coop/blog/051018.html, which is a site in Vancouver, Canada, talking about a guy who went to Sydney to implement a system in LISP using the XP (Extreme Programming) approach.

Interesting that there are not that many other Sydney LISPers.

I've sent him an email to say 'Hi'.

Album database example from "Practical Common LISP"
Phew, I'm way behind sebthecat.

Here's my entry of what I've done so far from "Practical Common Lisp"

This doesn't look like much, but I'm impressed. This is a fair few features for very little code (66 lines). Onwards and upwards.

Here's the link to the code.

Nothing new here, just typed in version of what's in the book.

Found a cool LISP logo out on the web.

The logo makes no arguments, "LISP seems strange and different !!". I like it.
